OVERVIEW
site redesign
AmeriSave’s website was in a difficult situation for most of 2022. They had a legacy site design, an external agency was completing a full site redesign (project launched before our team was established), and internal pages that were needed before the redesign was completed. By 2023, we were left with three distinct site designs: legacy, agency, and internal. I was tasked with consolidating and polishing these into a single style.
the problem
The website was composed of 3 distinct styles, disparate designs, and disparate iconography, and there was no systemic approach to the site design.
the goal
Simultaneously consolidate and modernize site design, as well as identifying a system to guarantee that future page content aligns with the new design.

AmeriSave was in need of a consolidated icon style – many different styles of icon were present on their legacy site, diluting their brand.
the problem
Their website and marketing collateral used a wide variety of icons, all in different styles, diluting the brand.
the goal
Create in-house a new set of icons, branded and customized specifically for AmeriSave, for use across both web and marketing pieces.
3D companions
As a small, in-house design team, it was sometimes difficult to keep up with the amount of content the organization required. By taking our custom icon set and making them 3D, we were also able to use them as graphics for web pages and other marketing collateral, doubling the impact of the icon set. Below you can see the transition from the original legacy icon to the redesigned version and 3D version.

Being an online-only lender, AmeriSave’s customers all start in the same place, regardless of the product they’re pursuing – an intake wizard, which then routes customers to the proper product/sales agent.
the problem
While functional, AmeriSave’s intake wizard did not look good or professional, which does not leave a good impression on potential customers.
the goal
Redesign the experience with the user in mind, creating a more pleasing and intuitive interface that stands out among the competition.

Inspired by online quiz experiences like Typeform, I set out to create a more seamless user-friendly experience.

AmeriSave launched a new customer program, MyAmeriSave, and did not have a high quality design to onboard customers to the program.
the goal
Create a set of initial touchpoints that reinforce AmeriSave’s brand and position in the industry, reassuring customers that they made the right choice.
